What exactly is a non-Newtonian fluid? It's any fluid that exhibits flow behavior different from that of familiar Newtonian fluids like air and water. Familar examples of non-Newtonian fluids include ketchup, blood, and Silly Putty--as well as the cornstarch-water mixture (commonly known as Oobleck).
